My Backyard Sports has awarded two franchise territories to Cheryl and Lee Ruff of Leander, TX on July 29, 2021. Their territories will serve the Austin, TX area where the demand for sports and home services is booming. Owners, Michael and Debbi Kraner “welcome the Ruffs to the MBS team as well as all of the families, schools and businesses whom will benefit from the products and services Cheryl and Lee will be bringing to the community“. As the premier company for the design and installation of customized courts, My Backyard Sports Corporate will do all that they can to help foster and grow the MBS brand in Texas and around the country, Michael Kraner added.
Cheryl Ruff has had a successful 30 Year career in asset and property management in the commercial real estate industry. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Amberton University in Dallas, Texas. Her Leadership skills included the direct training, supervision and review of property management staff. Her organizational and interpersonal skills have allowed her the ability to manage multiple projects, leading team members to complete tasks in a timely manner and the opportunity to establish and maintain excellent relationships with industry vendors.
Cheryl’s “passion for achieving her goals continues today, as she and her husband fulfilled the dream of owning their own business“, says Cheryl Ruff.
Lee Ruff has always had a love of sports, both playing and watching on TV. His dream has always been to have a career related to sports, and “when my wife and I had our daughter Bella, youth sports dominated our lives. Both my wife and I coached our daughter and for me it was countless hours of backyard training. These were the best memories with my daughter and I will always cherish them. My Backyard Sports gives me the opportunity to bring families closer together and allows young aspiring athletes to be their best“, says Lee.
Lee has worked in corporate America for over 30 years in sales management and strategic account sales. He has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Packaging Engineering from Michigan State University. Understanding customer needs and finding solutions allowed him to have a successful sales career and “this will undoubtedly serve him well at My Backyard Sports”, Kraner said. “At MBS we are more about experiences and thinking creatively to help make dreams come true for our customers. Whether it be a driveway basketball goal that we help make incredibly special for the young children about to start practicing to the HOA or local school who need some out of the box planning and design ideas to help meet their needs. The problem solving and creating solutions for our customers is an essential skill for MBS owners”, Kraner adds.
My Backyard Sports Austin is now officially open for business. “We welcome the Ruffs and wish them much success on their journey”, Debbi Kraner says.
